As the Helsinki International Boat Show drew to a close on Sunday, I received images that once again made me excited. For those of you who follow this blog regularly, you realize that I get excited over boat related stuff quite easily, but as project milestones go this is really one of the major ones.

Interim production report. Hull #1 is well underway, Hull #2 is now out of the mold. Preparations for painting hull #1 metallic black have also commenced.

Hull #1 is out of the mold and was wheeled into our production facility yesterday. We are pleased to find that the hull is 100 per cent perfect.

The FG43 drawings are very familiar to me and I have always thought that this particular design looks very slippery. But when the hull plug came in we were so amazed that we walked around it in silence for long time. The actual hull in 1:1 size is such a vivid beauty that it just was not imaginable beforehand.
